What goes into a can of Crave?

When we’re enjoying a drink we think about a lot of things: the satisfying click of the can opening, the fizz of it pouring over ice, the taste as you have your first sip. Something we often neglect is which ingredients are put together to make that drink. At Crave, we take pride in the creation of our drinks and make sure that every ingredient has a vital role to play. Whether it’s about tasting great or supporting your health, each component of our drinks matters.

Our first ingredient is sparkling water; British Spring water with CO2, giving Crave its bubbles and fizz. Our drinks also have a natural flavour enhancer (Erythritol) and natural flavourings. Natural flavourings are derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetables or vegetable juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf or similar plant materials. Also affecting the flavour are fruit and vegetable concentrates; such as black carrot, apple, safflower, and lemon. We pick the best flavours and combinations to make sure your Crave tastes just right.

Into the more scientific side of Crave, let’s take a look at BCAAs (or Branched Chain Amino Acids). BCAAs occur naturally in protein, helping to build and repair new muscle, and are made from fermented plants, making them entirely vegan. The BCAAs used in Crave are 120 mg of Leucine, which is one of nine essential amino acids, 60mg of Isoleucine, an essential amino acid used in the biosynthesis of proteins, and 60mg of Valine, another essential amino acid.

Crave drinks use organic green coffee bean extract and natural sweetener (steviol glycosides), which has less calories than sugar- making it a great option for those who are on low-calorie diets. Although, of course, you don’t need to be on any kind of diet to enjoy Crave- you just need to enjoy delicious drinks.

One part of Crave that people might not know is that it is full of vitamins; vitamins C, B3, B6, B7 and B12, to be exact. Many people on a plant-based diet will struggle to get enough vitamin B12 in their diet, an important vitamin for immune system support and supporting red blood cell formation. Having B12 in our drinks enables you to easily get those required vitamins without having to alter your plant-based diet. Vitamins B3 and B12 both contribute to the functioning of the nervous system, as well as reducing tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin B6 can support psychological function and help to regulate hormonal activity. Vitamin B7 (also known as Biotin) is used by the body to metabolise carbs, fats and amino acids- as well as helping to maintain healthy skin and hair.

All of the ingredients are specially chosen to make sure that it’s not just your taste buds that enjoy Crave, but your mind and body too. With added benefits for your skin, hair, and your energy, Crave has everything you need for the perfect drink. Each component is carefully combined to give you a long-lasting drive to get through your day, and your night.
